The Latest Happenings...

Hello Everyone,

Well, we have had a lot going on lately... that still doesn't excuse me from not keeping up on this website though! If you didn't know already, we had our second son, Levi Thomas Stember, almost two weeks ago. He was born on Sunday, March 5th at 10:18am via c-section. He weighed in at 6lbs 14oz and was 20.5 inches long. He is sooo beautiful and was such a joy to give birth to. The whole experience was totally different than it was with Sam. I actually enjoyed going through the c-section and gettin to be awake during the whole thing. When they pulled him out, they peeked him around the curtain before wisking him away to clean him up. When I got to see the baby straight out of the womb, I cried and cried with happiness. David and I just sat there for the next 20 minutes or so and basked in the joy of having another son. God is good, that's for sure!

We are now back home and have been for a week and a half adjusting (or trying to adjust) to normal life with two kids. It hasn't been too hard lately. Levi came home with a bit of jaundice, so had to be wrapped up in a little UV light blanket for a couple of days. We called him out little glow worm. (those of you that are my age and a little younger would remember glow worms... that was our son) I'll post some pictures of him glowing! That was a trying experience, but now he is back to full health, eating well, and growing already! He is such a cutie and a very good boy so far (let's keep our fingers crossed, huh?!).

The latest update on our big kid Sam is that he is finally WALKING!!! The videos show that. He's sooo cute when he walks... a bit of a frankenstein, but beginning to move around quite a bit more! He is such a good boy and loves his baby brother. He has started giving him kisses (at a prompt, of course) and yesterday found the baby's passie and proceeded to come over and try to stick it in his mouth. That was so cute and clever. I didn't know that he knew that was where it went! We have a genius on our hands, folks! :D

We are doing well inspite of some challenges that God has been allowing us to go through! God has been strengthening us as a couple and just drawing us closer to Him and His WORD. He is sooo faithful to pick us up when we need it the most and guide, lead, correct in love, and minister to us especially when we don't know what to do or have the words to say! God is faithful and has allowed us some great family time over this wonderful celebration of life in our family!

Well, I'll go for now. I'll update soon and put a link to the latest shutterfly pictures that are up (or will be up in about an hour). Then you can see our every growing and active family... mostly the boy, of course!

Hello Everybody! We sure are having fun at the Stember house!!! We have a crazy 14 month old (as of today) and a squirly little baby in my tummy! I hope all of you are enjoying the little bit of footage and photos we post from time to time! It's good to at least keep all of you updated on what's going on in our lives. I wish we could do it more and that I would be more faithful about sending out pictures and messages, but I suppose I do what I can. We love and miss all of you very much! So, I know haven't written on the blogsite in a while, but I suppose life goes on. We have put some new videos on that are really cute. The one of him playing with the barn is worth the boring wait because he gives me a big kiss at the end, which is the cutest of all! Also, the one from January 7th is super cute too, but the picture is really dark. You may not be able to see the picture well, but the sound is great! What a cute laugh he has, huh?!

Levi is growing quite well and beginning to give me a lot of grief! It's getting to that point of being uncomfortable to sit for too long and sometimes sit at all... All up in the ribs again, which may account for another 22 incher! Oh well, we'll love him to bits! We are pretty sure of a date for him to be born. We are going to have a C-Section performed the 21st of March, so unless he decides to come early, then that will be the official date! Please be in prayer for that day and the surgery. Also, please be in prayer for me too. I feel a bit scared about the time afterwards. It was easy to take care of one baby while recovering from a C-Section, but just the thought of lifting Sam (28 lbs) makes me a little nervous! If you have any time after the birth, let me know and we will set up a day you can come and help me with the boys. That would be a huge blessing!!!

Our family is doing really well! God has been blessing us beyond what we could have ever imagined or dreamed of. We are so thankful for His provision in our lives and the continual stream of suprises He is bringing our way. He is so faithful to be exactly who He says He will be! That's God for ya!

Christmas Morning Socks

Merry Christmas to all!!! We sure had a wonderful holiday season. It was fun to just hang out with family and enjoy being with eachother. These two videos are of my boys opening their stockings or socks... whatever you call them. I love this time of year!!! We learned a lot this year about what celebrating Christmas is all about. I know in my heart, I had struggled with that and found that my best gift this year was hearing the truth of the gospel... again! I realized that I need to be reminded on a daily basis about Christ's sacrifice for me. It's not about the gifts, though they are fun to give, it's all about knowing truth and having that set you free to live a life that is pleasing and honoring to God! David and I so desire to teach our family about what it really means to celebrate Christmas. So, for all of you that didn't get a Christmas card or present from the Stembers, know that it is not because we have forgotten you. Instead, with great joy and memories we remember you and what God has done and can do in your lives! Think about why we really celebrate Christmas and the true sacrifice or gift that was given when Jesus came down to be among us. The King... among us. Here are a couple fun videos from the past week or so. The one of Sam and David having a little morning cuddle in bed is sooooo cute! Kinda makes you want to stay in bed longer! We had a lovely weekend down in Martensdale spending time with family and celebrating Christmas early. Sam loves to have all the kids to play with and I nearly forget he's around because of all the comotion! It's a zoo sometimes, but always a very fun zoo. We were blessed with some lovely gifts from family and, as always, ate very good food!

Sam has an ear infection and luckily, we caught it early... still, no fun for a little guy. He had a temperature of 104 f today at one point and just wanted to lay on the floor, cuddle his blanket, and kinda moan. I have had a lot of great snuggle time with our boy, which means he must not be feeling himself. I sure don't mind though!
